Rivers of flowers 15 March, 2010

River of Flowers is a community based project dedicated to preserving wild flowers in urban environments.

In our cities, wildflowers are disappearing where natural meadows and woodland are being replaced by concrete ad tarmac; our unique heritage of wildflowers is under threat. The River of Flowers is a movement that aims to preserve and promote wildflowers in cities by creating a 'river' of wildflowers that will one day encircle the world. Give a brood a home! 17 February, 2010

It’s National Nest Box Week and the perfect time to get a new home for our little brood friends, in our gardens or local green spaces. NNBW encourage everyone to put up nest boxes in their local area in order to promote and enhance biodiversity and conservation of breeding birds and wildlife. National Tree Week 21 December, 2009

Today is the start of National Tree Week! The Tree Council is encouraging all of us to plant a tree in our own gardens, workplaces, schools and parks, in order to provide habitats for wildlife and help moderate the climate. 25 November - 6 December 2009
