Oliveology at Full House 25 February, 2010

The House was Full. 3 house keepers, 12 guests, 5 Greek courses using 4 types of organic olive oils and using very healthy, natural and mostly organic ingredients.

The night was a success, with a very pleasant, homely and warm atmosphere. Sharing a communal dining table, guests could share culinary ideas whilst enjoying the dishes. We started with an introduction to our exclusive olive oils and olives and explained the differences and unique methods of production of single estate oils compared to mass produced blended brands.

The menu was carefully chosen to be a variety of traditional Greek recipes, with a balanced combination of salads, pulses, fruit, nuts, natural cheese and seafood for the non-vegetarians. All of the dishes were prepared using 4 different types of olive oils, even for the dessert; the popular chocolate mousse with olive oil. All the recipes will be soon published in our recipe section.

The guests dinned almost until midnight (Greek style!) and ended with a cup or more of olive leaf tea; a brilliant digestive ending after a 5 course ample menu.

We would like to thank the lovely house keepers at Full House; Bonnie, Mateo and Xin, for the unique dining experience we were able to offer to our guests.
